This gallery of comic book ads from the ’80s takes me back. I specifically remember this one and thinking to myself, “wow, with this and E.T., it’s evident that aliens LOVE themselves some Reese’s Pieces!” The only thing I noticed this collection was missing was Hostess snack cake ads, so I tracked down this link for you as well: The Hostess Page.

    This was actually tied into a TV ad campaign in 1982/3 in which an ET-like alien would come along and steal Resse’s Pieces with a final line something like “Me snurrfl bye bye”.

    Does anyone remember the one-page D&D comics/ads in the 80’s? I’d love to get a scan of some of those.

    And BTW, the hostess page is great but has NSFW ads at the bottom.
