Does anyone note the vast difference between drawing from submitted texts and creation by yourself? Clearly Sam Brown is doing something remarkably different given the fact that his characters exist in a concrete world with metaphorical relation to our own. Is it possible that this is more worthy of our attention than a daily dose of similar style and no intention?

Natalie dee and Drew are amazing artists I even had to sign up for their notify list. If any one can suggest other internet daily drawings of the sort I would appreciate it, I just can't get enough of their raw humor. :)

Perhaps the problem is that you're failing to realize most of Sam Brown's work is not created with the intent of giving a cheap laugh. It's impossible to fully appreciate his work if you look at it the same way you would Natalie Dee's work.

i've always wondered about that. all along i thought they were just very, very close siblings.
i love reading nataliedee. i check her drawings every day.
she now has a column on columbus alive. her column appears in her website the week after it appears on paper.

dr -- I like a lot of the Exploding Dog stuff, but it becomes a bit repetitive after a while, and more often than not the user-submitted captions are too serious for their own good. "I am full of doubts", "I am saving you from yourself", "this is a place where no clouds go" -- are just some of the examples on the site now, and there's only so much of it I can take. Natalie's stuff, by comparison, is just plain funnier.

Drawn keeps pointing me to some great stuff! Natalie's stuff is awesome, especially considering she manages to get a drawing up everyday, and she's been doing it for years. You have to respect that. I've been doing weekly things on my site for a while and have been drawing a picture a day since the new year, and I know what a challenge this kind of thing is. I have to give the woman props.

natalie dee cartoons are my secret little pleasure, she's bonkers. people should have a part of their brain reserved for natalie's sense of humour. I'm very happy to see her on drawn.
