Rubbish drawings

I remember hearing a story about a janitor working at the Tate Gallery in London. An artist had recently unveiled their latest contribution (literally, a bag of garbage). The janitor, thinking the work of art was a mere bag of garbage, threw it out.

The cleaning lady was reprimanded and educated about the artistic merits of the piece she had thrown out. The artist searched his soul and managed to come up with a replacement piece.

This British artist takes the museum to the streets with his inspiring ‘rubbish art’. Explore the site thoroughly – lots of fantastic stuff.

This is fab!! I love the concept, I wish I could see what is inside the bags...one mans rubbish is another mans treasure...heh heh...I really liked the Thames Dig exhibit as well

It goes to show you the terrible state our galleries have degenerated too. I lost faith in the whole business when at one time galleries displayed empty frames and her's the clincher "called it art." We hire dip S---- as the buyers of this crap!
