Patently silly

All you readers who were planning on inventing the world’s first carrot-house might as well stop what you’re doing. The Patent House illustrates that it’s already been patented — along with dozens of other unusual examples of industrial design from the early half of the 20th century. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to start planning my new Asparagus Car.

    The site was impressive.
    My eye was caught by the beautiful typography. Nearly all of the inventors created his own font to write Fig. 1 and then his name. It is interesting to see how it came together when it was primarily done by hand.
