  • One interesting cartoon that the political cartoon site left out is a comment on Japanese Americans. It shows an impossibly long line of Californian Japanese Americans lining to be given TNT by the "Honorable Fifth Column". The title "Waiting for a signal from home" suggested that Japanese Americans were more Japanese than American and ostensibly justified internment.

    I'm not sure why it would be hard to believe that the same guy drew the two cartoons - one if February and one in June, 1942. February is still really close to December 7th. Perhaps the perspective of additional time and perhaps even a personal experience allowed him to revise his opinion. That does happen occasionally, y'know...
