Over at the Animation Archive Project, Stephen Worth has posted a real gem. Composition: How to Make Pictures is a vintage lesson plan from a 1960 Famous Artists illustration course. It proves that you can’t put a date on good design and composition. This is a wonderful resource for anyone creating imagery, whether it be illustration, comics, animation, or even photography.

    I have the entire set of three big binders that my father in law gave me a couple of years ago. He did not become a famous artist, alas, but I really enjoyed reading the lessons and even trying a few out :-) It's always nice to revisit stuff like this.
