Roberto Bobrow is a very talented caricaturist, illustrator and journalist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His illustrations are lush and colourful and full of life, like the artist himself. Most of his cartoons are politically driven, but being a passionate bibliophile, he also adds the occasional writer, which of course, I just love. I’m particularly fond of his illustration of Borges and Eco. Bello!

  • Lunchbox is basically right (well...a tad emphatic, perhaps). Working for a newspaper involve a wide range of topics, styles and deadlines. From the obvious to the subtle, from black'n with to digital oils. My blog reflects all that; all you have to do is to explore it and form your opinion afterwards.

I'm very grateful to Drawn! (and to Patricia in first place) for featuring my job. Being the audience of this site so huge, I don't expect to please everyone. But if one of every ten visitors find it worthly to see, that's enough for me. I'll keep trying to improve each day; not to please anybody but my selfcriticism above all.
  • I think that the hat looking like an atomic bomb is unintended. This is one of the worst things posted in a long time. Woof. I'm going to have to wait a while to come back. The bright colors, lack of depth, poor design, obvious metaphors and so-so caricature hurt my head.
  • Great to see a compatriot listed in this blog!!
If you want to know more about argentinian illustrators and cartoonists, just pay a visit to the Asociación de Dibujantes Argentinos site http://www.a-d-a.com.ar/

    Cheers!
  • I love the fact that Bush's chef's hat looks like an atomic explosion.
  • Is that supposed to be Bush?
