Ukrainian graffiti
This gallery of street art from Kiev, Ukraine shows graffiti unlike anything I’ve seen before. It would make my day to walk down the street and see such whimsical illustrations out in the wild.
Anyone able to translate/identify the name of the artist?
There are several artists listed. Some are initials in Cyrillic and other are in English. I may have found one of the artists sites but I pulled it up and it looked nsfw (and, of course, I’m at work). It looks like the artists are:
AEC (cyrillic or english)
Вован (Vovan in english) Try searching for that one, you’ll come up with something.

Cik (could be Ukrainian or Sik in english)
Oskes (I think this is his myspace profile)

Also, it appears that some of them are based on folk tales.
the work is by Kiev’s IK (ІнтереÑні казки ≈ interesting cases) crew, and mainly by Aec (mentioned elsewhere as Aectroner). Another member, WaOne, also has a similar style. some more images here: http://englishrussia.com/?p=799
