PLATFORM Signal Film
Wanna see what we see right before each screening here at PLATFORM? The creative powerhouse of Smith & Foulkes (from Nexus Productions) created the official PLATFORM International Animation Festival signal film. Fun with boxes: Stop-motion shot with a Canon Digital SLR camera. Nicely paced with a load of fun things happening (love the guy getting on the truck part), the film gets a great big round of appause with each showing. (Via Motionographer.)
The festival is exceeding my expectations. More will be mentioned soon. In the meantime, Smith & Foulkes will have a presentation of their work as well as talk about the past ten years of their career this Saturday, June 30th at 11:30am, in the Winningstad Theatre of the Portland Center for Performing Arts.
