Mike Wieringo has passed away
Newsarama reports that Mike Wieringo passed away suddenly this weekend. He was 44. His refreshing and lively work will live on in the hearts of fans, and by all accounts he was a humble and generous man.

What a loss. I loved his work on Tellos and was really hoping to meet him at some point. He was at the top of his game. I pray for comfort and peace for his family and those closest to him in the coming days and weeks.
Wow…that’s shocking to hear. I would check his blog occasionally and he was always so friendly forthcoming with useful information. He was at the top of his game – I know very few comic artist by name by would recognize his work immediately.
That’s horrible…..I used to see him every year at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC. He was a really nice guy and great artist. What a shame.
Any time someone this young passes away its a huge shock. I’ve met Mike on a few occassions and can say that he really was an amazingly nice guy. He was also a really hard working and very talented artist. He will definately be missed.
