My head went GA-SPLORTCH when I saw this. The latest complete cartoon collection to grace bookstores is none other than The Completely MAD Don Martin! Growing up reading MAD, Don Martin’s wacky cartoons always ranked high on my list of favourite MAD artists. That his entire output for the magazine is presented here in an elegant hardcover box set is so absurd it’s perfect. Craig Yoe interviews Jon Anderson, the book’s publisher, to shed some light on the project. And just for SPLORKs, don’t miss the Don Martin Dictionary, which could very well get a significant upgrade with the release of this book set (though I’m not holding my BRAGHK).
