Superstar cartoonist Mark Anderson has scanned an oddly compelling deck of illustrated playing cards and posted them to flickr. Some are funny, some are strange, and the one posted above even features a Preston Blair swipe.
We may never know who “Washaw” was, but there will always be this to haunt us.
I’ve always found this “cocktail napkin” type of humor sexist, crude, bizarre, and oddly appealing. Also, I counted at least 6 Preston Blair swipes just skimming through them – maybe more?
