Artist draws baby chicken’s progress daily
I’m currently the proud parent of two recently-hatched pigeons that are currently making a home (read: toilet) out of my balcony, so I found this particularly interesting. Scientific illustrator Mieke Roth chronicled the growth of a baby chicken in a series of daily drawings: Little Chicken Growing Up!
The subheading of her site refers to these as “pen and ink drawings”, but after reading the About page I learned that they were actually drawn on a Cintiq.
There’s a new post on his blog saying: ‘I actually didn’t finish the series: there are still two sketches sitting on my deks for more than half a year now. Reason for this is that this little chicken died on January 8th’
