Chuck Groenink

I don’t mind telling you that I’ve become quite an ardent fan of Chuck Groenink’s wonderful work, ever since stumbling across his fanciful flickrstream one fateful day in August (I still haven’t fully recovered my left boot). Living, doodling and climbing trees in the northern Netherlands, Mr. Groenink is currently working on a mighty big project for the Fiep Westendorp Foundation, of which he was awarded a grant two years ago (and rightly so)!

He also tells me that he’s beginning to work on his very first picture book, which is fortunate news to all those who love good things. You’d be wise to get into Groenink on the ground floor, as I have a feeling this talented young Dutchman is about to skyrocket. Case in point: his gorgeous contributions to the infamous Terrible Yellow Eyes blog has already gained the attention of many high-ranking monsters in the know.
