The Lighthouse Keeper
The latest short to come out of the Gobelins animation school is The Lighthouse Keeper, and it is stunning. So much suspense and beauty is packed into this three minutes of traditional 2D animation.
It’s the work of Gaëlle Thierry, Jérémie Moreau, Rony Hotin, Baptiste Rogron, Maïlys Vallade, and David François.
This is SUCH a great animation!!!!
First, the giant bug freaked me out and I was all “Whoa, creepy bug!”
then I was all “Yeah, you show him, Lighthouse Keeper!”
then I was all “Oh NOOO!!! A ship!!”
and then I was all “Nice (but creepy) bug.”
No, literally. I think I said this stuff aloud. In a room. Alone. THAT’S how good it was!
I love animations from Gobelins. Makes me want to learn French.
