U900

I don’t know what’s going on here and I love it and I could watch it over and over for hours. The music is by U900, a Japanese Ukulele duo. Let me repeat that because OMG I’ll never get the chance to type those words together again: Japanese Ukulele duo.

If anyone knows who produced the animation and created the toys, please let us know!

  • simply amazing. love the energy and the music.

I could be wrong but the background looks like enoshima island south of Tokyo....

Thank you, Luc! The best part is that there's a few other videos of this amazing duo.
  • Fun huh? :) I love that they're playing old Ventures tunes too. It's all a tad psychedelic or something! Haha!

I don't know who made the toys, but I do know that the island in the background is called Enoshima, which is off the coast of Kamakura. Great place to visit and watch the sun go down at the restaurant on the top while you feed leftovers to hawks.

I don't know who created the toys, but they're classic amigurumi style. Basically it's a style of crocheted stuffed toys that started in Japan and became very popular in North American crochet circles a few years ago. You can find loads of patterns similar to these online.

Great video all 'round, loving it!

Wow, two Japanese crazes -- cute characters and knitting representational objects -- unite triumphantly with the current Western madness for ukuleles. Love this animation!

According to the other vids in the end "Kerokeroking" did it. Gives a few clues when googling it, alltho their own site seems to be in japanese.
