About S.britt

Born to a successful rhubarb farmer and avid spool collector on a dry-docked airboat perched high atop a 2000-year-old Indian burial mound deep in the Barataria Swamps of Louisiana, S.britt currently resides in Portland, OR with a chipper beagle, a sluggish cat, an annoying tortoise and an artificial thistle fern named Crictor. A beginning doodler and reluctant learner, his trademark "no flashing around the chimney" style won him a small Victory Medal from the Potted Meat Users' Council constructed entirely of cocktail franks, wax beans, pimento and cellotape. His first illustrated children's book was released by Chronicle Books in August 2009 and he plans on reading it within the year. He is also learning how to count on both hands and holds the North American record for the most consecutive bee stings on one foot. Clients include: eBay, Chronicle Books, Hyperion Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Fantagraphics Books, Sterling Publishing, Lexus, Volkswagen of America, Target, Zellers, The Salvation Army, TV Land (Nick at Nite), Disney Television Animation, Sub Pop Records, LeapFrog, American Greetings, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition, The Indianapolis Monthly, The Portland Mercury, The Boston Globe, LA Weekly, Scholastic Science World Magazine, Nickelodeon Magazine, Weekly Reader Magazine, BUST Magazine, Macworld Magazine, HOW Magazine, Martha Stewart Kids Magazine, Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine, FamilyFun Magazine, and many more (okay, a few more)!
