(via Modern Mechanix)
Ah, the good old days when artists died rich.
hilarious. i saw the headline and almost snorted a mouthful of water. (i did a spit-take instead)
Haha, that's like an olde tyme diploma mill commercial. “YOU CAN BE A 3D VIDEO GAME PROFESSIONAL!!11!”
Ha! That's only ever been true for a lucky few.
these are our “paintings”…
It's true! I studied cartooning for 3 short months, and now, I wake up every morning to have my hair shampooed in champagne by my Swiss model girlfriend, after which we roll around naked in piles of money. Dash off a quick “funny pic” as we call it, and my work day is done by lunch!
What a life.
Hey!I live in Minneapolis!…. I doubt they're still kicking out those “Road to Better Things” brochures but, I just may take a sojourn around my fair city and see if that Federal School Building is still doing it's being a building thing.
I make 1000,000,0000,0000 a year and that's before lunch, I also make twice that much on the stock market, ten times that much on bingo… and well… As a rich idle artist and other stuff…
I have time to sell my own book…
'How to make a trillion a day, without getting outer ya bed.'
By It Now… You'll Be Glad Ya Did!
You know that line you got from your parents, your teachers, your maiden aunt, her dog…
“Become an artist and you'll starve.”
Dog translation: “Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof!!”
It pains me to say it… but… They and the dog, were right!
