Catetos

Catetos is a Flickr gallery of a French card game in which the cards are divided up by artisitic profession (painter, sculptor, printmaker, etc.)

In fact, the entire set of vintage French graphics is pretty sweet.

UPDATE
After this link was picked up by Boing Boing, a reader wrote in to tell them that this is a version of Happy Families, a game played like Go Fish.

Beautiful old cards. This game is called in french “Jeu de 7 familles” – literally “game of the 7 families” – it was (is?) very famous when I was young (30 now). Many different kinds of sets was existing.
