Cult TV and British Comics

Slashdot reports that BBC is shutting down its online Cult TV resource. The site is a repository for all manner of British cultural flotsam, from Harvey Dent to Ivor the Engine.

The site is also a great comic book resource; with a variety of Indie comics, audio comics, and histories of all the big titles in British comics; Eagle, Dan Dare, Beano… all mandatory reading for any British kid worth their salt.

See it before it’s gone!

why doesn’t any cartoon-fan take it over? site is build, content is there, ok we need a bunch of google ads or so, but then it can be sustained. Or rather, let internetarchive copy it for some good… just a bunch of ideas.

Nerdy, I know, but shouldn’t that be Arthur Dent? Isn’t Harvey Dent that DA from Gotham City?

I am a stinking heap of nerd.

Tom -ha ha, I noticed my typo, but I thought I’d leave it to see if anyone picked up on it.

I don’t think Two-Face was much of an icon in British comics.
