Digital Doodle

doodle1.jpgDigital Doodle is another one of those fun online sketching toys. I love these things because they don’t require you to be a great artist, yet they promote and foster creativity out of anyone able to click a mouse. Digital Doodle offers up a weekly theme and invites you to play along and vote on other people’s doodles. Have fun!

i can draw, but there isn’t a word of text on the whole site!
where do you find out the theme?
how do you save your drawing?

As much as I enjoy participating in these site, this one has been my least favorite. What started off fun quickly became frustrating when I saw that there was no UNDO or white crayon to fix a mark. The marks I really wanted to fix were the ones where the ‘ink’ wouldn’t unclick and would streak across the whole image. I had to COMPLETELY fill the canvas to cover it up. It’s also very limited with its color palette and there is no brush size option. I know it’s meant to be simple and fun, but even adding a white crayon would’ve made it much m ore enjoyable.

Also there is no direct link for you to send your doodle to other people.

    Hi Drawn people

Thank you very much for your feedback on the site it has been very helpful. I have added flash detection so problems like steakdiaper’s won’t happen again. I have also added direct linking to doodles to answer part of iamintricate’s issue. So now you can send a doodle to friends.

Keep up this great blog I love the content on here.

Great site. It’s always interesting to see how people interpret a theme. Even more fun to watch the drawing process. It’s nice to be able to fix mistakes but it’s also great practice to just draw what comes out with no editing. Very therapeutic also.
