Drawers 2.0

claire wendling

Claire Wendling‘s amazing art-book, Drawers, is now in it’s second printing – only, they’ve added forty extra pages of great stuff, so it’s probably worth purchasing even if you already have the first edition.

Unfortunately, for now, we can only get it at Amazon France.

I actually went to stuart’s “storefront” in torrance. He has a whole hell of a lot of these in stock. There was 3 or 4 bookshelves 3 feet wide packed with them. He also has a bunch of other Wendling offferings including small prints and postcards. Everything is a tiny bit overpriced, but you can’t beat the shipping time.

There was also some very nice french graphic novels. Look for “alim le tanneur” The characters and storytelling are outstanding. Also look for “Tau Bang.”

While I was there I noticed that he has 5 copies of “Figure Drawing” by Andrew Loomis. So, if you are looking for that one the most expensive one I saw was $175.

I got it in a comic-book shop in Spain. my father had the previous edition and when e saw mine he told me I was crazy for purchasing it twice. of course that was before he saw the new stuff on the inside… then he tried to persuade me to give it to him as not-birthday present… ¬_¬U
