Elwood Smith

I love the cartoony illustrations of Elwood Smith — they look like they’d be right at home on the comics page of a newspaper from the 1930s.

I got to go meet him at his studio once. Great guy. He does really fun stuff. He was more interested in showing us his record collection than art.

I’ve been fan for many years: of his drawings and his name.

Elwood also reminds me of the zany style of illustrator Marc Rosenthal, (http://www.marc-rosenthal.com/).

Carlisle read the story with gusto. The band wove the songs in and out of J.T.s reading following cues given by our esteemed musical director & keyboardist, Mark Vian. [...]
