@EmJayBee I remember a poignant scene from "The Sixth Sense", where joel haley osmand explained he no longer drew pictures of what he saw anymore (the ghosts in various violent repose), he just drew happy pictures of sunflowers and rainbows and unicorns.

To emjaybee:

"I don't believe you should censor artist works, some of which will be offensive. That doesn't mean you should just post stuff like this noncritically either."

So, artwork that offends you should be tagged with the disclaimer: "This type of art should not be made because it is offensive."

That is an act of censorship.

I have to respectfully disagree with your last statement, Emjaybee. Please reserve judging this opinion, until reading the full argument...

To me, the video first projected a severely critical understanding of an age old, minority game. It describes the drive for power made by many aggressive nobodies; their own human sexual behaviors.

It is not clear whether the individual who produced this is an ethical observer, or involved in such behavior. He (as the remaining 96% of us), is probably a little bit of both. Your use of the term misogyny is crucial, it points to the damage that power seeking sexual aggression does to society. All men are vulnerable to being mislead to misogyny, by witness of the (seeming) rewards granted to an unethical few.

Yet while these "rewards" inflict pain upon the deceived vulnerable, they produce nothing for the predators. If the artist is indeed sickened by the all too prevalent behavior described, then the video is an objective realization that Women are sociopaths, too. The vanity and manipulation displayed by the blonde is overshadowed by the trucker's rampage, but she is still portrayed as a shitty person, nonetheless :]

Lacking overt signs of sociopathy, she should can still be considered a victim who learned to manipulate to protect herself. This could have been done through empowering the character, via moral and ethical choices along the route. I agree with your take on the effective message of the video; the female adorned "gold statue" at the end (for instance) only compromises the fight to end misogyny.

Whatever message the producer meant to send, the broad population will take this video to mean that sexual relationships with Women are readily achieved through aggressive, unethical behavior.
