Darren Di Lieto of the LCS has launched a new site designed to help promote illustrators and creative types: Hire an Illustrator.

It’s difficult to say so early on how Hire an Illustrator will fare up against the existing crop of portfolio sites, but Darren explains that the site is more than just a portfolio portal, and that they contact art directors and companies directly via phone to promote their artists. They also collect samples (postcards or other promotional material) from profiled members to be included in targeted mail shot packs, as well as aa bi-monthly email newsletter.
