As oposed to my last comment on "Christa Maiwald's embrodied portraits" , Jason Mecier does achieve the ranking as both: an oddity and an artist. There is a reason and a message implicit in the medium he chooses for his renders, not only is his work hard in terms of the mere dificulty that working in such mediums imply, he has also an esthetic concept, there is volume anda strog notion of colour composition in his work, the backgrounds alone have a good artistic, aesthetic merit. Even though Dolly does look a little...uh un-femenine, it does add up to the "kitschness" that the theme requires.

The hardest part must have been not eating the candy. By which I don't mean to say that making mosaics is easy, but just that playing with candy and NOT eating it is amazingly difficult!
