Kagan McLeod’s new site

Our friend Kagan McLeod has a brand new website! It even has that new website smell. Kagan is a ridiculously gifted illustrator; he’s got so much talent, I kind of want to throw up a little. His expressive, confident brushwork makes me certain that he is, in fact, some sort of ninja. This makes sense considering his superb comic series Infinite Kung-Fu is slated to be released as a graphic novel by Top Shelf in the near future. Kagan remains a member of the previously-blogged bunch of knuckleheads, the Royal Academy of Illustration & Design.

His brush work and lines are just heavenly. I really loved his recent fashion illos of the stars in Inside Entertainment magazine.

And yeah, when I see my work in the National Post, and then something he’s done in the same paper, I kinda wanna throw up a lot.

It’s also about art (partly) and you can see art there.

McLeod is dope, and I’m digging the revamped site. His kung-fu is strong.

[...] Yet another great illustrator found on Drawn. (In case you haven’t noticed, I think Drawn is by far the best illustration blog I have found.) Anyway, Kagan McCleod has some great line work and a ton of examples. I usually like bolder and sharper colors, but the muted, carefully chosen colors in his artwork are the second banana to the bold, dark lines in his illustrations. Here is what Drawn has to say. Wow! I bookmarked his site in a heartbeat – I’d be happy if I could ever be half as prolific as he is now. Gotta love those sequential dissections of songs…
