I don’t think I will ver really have an appreciation for art that is merely a sketch. What am I missing? I just never can see what the allure is. I don’t consider myself insensitive but maybe I am?

I think there is a real honesty to these pictures. I have kids of 4 and 5 and have sketch them many times, which is hard as they run around like burst balloons. But occasionally though my many scribbles and half drawn images I catch something of the subject being in a quickly drawn line.
Lotte’s seems to work with this quality permanently switched on, Wonderful.

Beautiful drawings. I actually prefer sketches to “finished” art. There’s just something about an artist and their pen (or pencil) alone creating an image that I don’t get from “completed” work.

Gorgeous stuff!
Lotte Klaver has ‘got it,’ —the eye for essential nuance, combined with the ability to capture it in line and form. Ms. Klaver, you are blessed. Live long and gift us further with you blessings.

These are great/ simple portrayals of children. The way kids move is universal and anyone with young childreen will recognize their body language. Alex
