Natsu Tomo

Natsu Tomo‘s pixelated vistas are stunning. She’s one of the artists featured in the previously-blogged art book, Bliss Express, in which, “21 of today’s most striking pop artists explore the idea of happiness.”

I finally had a chance to check the book out! There’s a lot of pontificating in the book about what makes the artists happy. That’s all very nice, but for me the real joy is seeing artists like Emma Sky, Yuko Shimizu, Bengal, Natsu Tomo – most of whom I’d only seen on a computer screen before – finally collected on the printed page.

Check out the preview of the book here.

Oh My F***ing Hell. Everytime you get grooving on your own art someone comes along and blows you away with their talent. Tomo is amazing.

Gaaaawd. What an incredible collection. I checked out the book, now I’m even more blown away.

This is a good thing, mind you.

Its YUKO Shimizu. Just for the record. YOKO is that Japanese conceptual artist whose career was ruined when she married that pop musician from Liverpool. But great stuff.

Ahhh, I finally have the artist name to some of the images I saved years ago. I love Tomo’s colour and vision, ditto to Emma Sky. Thanks Drawn.
