I just noticed that all the NFB Hothouse films are viewable online now. They’re about 90 seconds each and run the gamut of styles from an experimental mélange with watercolours (“ROY G BIV“) to traditional monster hoedown (“Lost Monster Hop”) to whacked out stop-motion with dead animals (“The Squirrel Next Door”).

Hothouse is a 12-week intensive animation apprenticeship at the NFB studio in Montreal for emerging creators across Canada.
