Print your own flipbooks

As a follow-up to last week’s post about flipbooks, here’s some software (Windows only) that will allow you to make your own with just an .AVI movie file and some printable business cards (and from the looks of things, a pretty heavy-duty stapler). Flipbook Printer.

UPDATE: The site points to Movie Flipper for Mac users, although it looks less polished.

Dang, I used to make these a couple of years ago using Microsoft Publisher and they looked just like the one pictured. I used some software (I forgot which) to extract individual frames from an AVI, then I fit them into a MS Publisher template, printed them on business card stock, and stapled them with a heavy duty stapler.
This new Flipbook software is inspiring me to do it again. Hopefully it will be a little easier than my method (which actually wasn’t very difficult once I got all the parameters right.)
