Via this Up & Coming interview over at Newsarama comes the blog of Brazilian cartoonist Rafael Grampá. This shrunken-down image shown here doesn’t do his inking justice. Check out the full size. Rafael’s seamless transitions from simple bold linework to intricate grotesquery (especially this bizarre biomechanical something-or-other) remind me instantly of Dave Cooper’s work. That said, Rafael’s work has a look all its own and I have to caution our readers: viewing his work may induce deep feelings of inadequacy. You’ve been warned.
