Ratatouille, full trailer

Sounds like Brad Bird’s doing a lot one of the voices for this one, too. Very exciting. I just watched The Incredibles again, and Brad’s voice-acting on Edna Mode still makes for some of the funniest moments in the film.

Also, in case you missed it – have a listen to this Spline podcast interview with Brad Bird. Very instructive.

What are the five main ingredients in great animation? Brad responds,

  • 1. Story
  • 2. Story
  • 3. Story
  • 4. Story
  • 5. Story-telling

He also talks a bit about how the best CG animators at Pixar are not necessarily the best illustrators.

I can’t wait to see the rest of this film! Absolutely beautiful.

I agree that Brad was great as Edna, but at his panel discussion at Wondercon this year, he claimed that he only was going to be doing the voice of one background character. Maybe he was being ironic and I just didn’t get it?

Hi, is it just me or is the actual interview part horribly garbled? The introduction comes across crystal but the important bit is really really hard to listen to! :(
