Rooster Iglehart

For those who can’t wait for Halloween, you might enjoy the moody goth illustrations of one Rooster Iglehart, with a penchant for Nosferartu, Edgar Allan Poe, and anything else that might give you the creepity-crawlies.

An epitaph to the intricate illustrative styles of the past. Obviously influenced by Edward Gorey, I believe he is the perfect person to carry the torch. Strange names aside.

absolutely brilliant work! I once saw rooster’s work in person at an art show in the denver aquarium. i don’t think he was even in his twenties at that point. it was an unusual location for an unusual guy.

it’s shocking how small the originals actually are. each is just a tad bit larger than a post-it and the attention to detail is mind-boggling. the lines are far more finite that what appears on his website.

i’m very glad to see him listed here!
