Sam & Max back from the dead

Ronnie del Carmen points out that Steve Purcell’s Sam & Max (unofficial site) are back with a new web comic to coincide with the production of a new Sam & Max adventure game by Purcell and Telltale Games (after LucasArts dropped the ball). Wheee!

update: Oops, fixed the webcomic link! And it should be noted that you need to roll your cursor over each frame to interact with the comic and reveal the action and dialogue.

My brother and I played the lucas arts Sam and Max game on our first VGA equiped PC one summer vacation many years ago… back when Lucas arts was cool. Zak Mckracken (sp?) , Maniac Masion/ Day of the Tenticle.. Sam and Max was probably the funniest, after Space Quest 4 (you cant beat a gary owens narration).

Yeah. I was never a computer gamer, but I had Sam & Max. It was unforgetable. I can’t really put my finger on why… Years later I discovered there’s is a whole cult around the game! I hope others get a chance to understand the excitment here.
