The commercial stuff lacked the edge the early work had. Some of those books are hard to find, if you run into them pick one up. I recommend "The Bear's Vacation" and "The Bike Lesson". The art just grabs you. You will find them in seconh hand shops, not in regular book stores. He did great work, the early books are the best. The commercial stuff lacked the edge the early work had.
