The Big Picture

The Big Picture

This still is from The Big Picture, a film that is a sort of hybrid between animation, narrative illustration, and video art. As a final school project, Kevin Fitzpatrick rigged up lights and camera to a glass drawing table in his closet and filmed himself drawing a series of pictures in order to tell a story. He chronicles the project in his own personal blog and the film’s production blog.

    A friend showed me over here.. I think it’s great that you posted my project.. thank you a million. The big picture is meant to eventually be a final film involving a huge journey. It’s going to be mixed mediums of real video, video animation, stop-go animation, along with musical orchestration and narrative. Up now are just the trailers for the film that is in the making.

    Hope this makes sense.. and I wish I could read the foreign language on these posts, that’d be interesting. Thanks again for posting this.
