I’m having flashbacks to playing with a Spirograph here… Richard Sarson is a graphic artist who has just recently graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. The Circle Project is a series of drawings created with a compass, some coloured marker pens and a heck of a lot of patience. Each drawing measures 840 x 590mm in size and there are over a thousand circles drawn on a grid of 104 points. The appearance is determined by the coloured pens used, the amount of circles and distance between each compass point.
