god i loved AEON flux. i wish they’d release them all to dvd, the vhs distribution didnt hold up so well and the torrents are just rips of those.

I wish they would have made a feature length aeon peter chung animation instead of the watered-down retard live-action drivel they slop on the screen everytime some asshole wants to make quick money. The film’s iron-on download is pretty bad ass though.

i don’t think one can make a mainstream movie out of Aeon Flux, for the following reasons:

- a third of its cham is the ermetic phylosophy, which challenges the mind to think on its own. Not for the average popcorn eater. Unless watered down with “ha-ha, i’ll get you, aeon”.

- another third is the sexual innuendo+perversity, which shoots the pg-13 rating dead.

- a feature film is not a ‘longer episode’. The ending must change things irreversibly, which means somehow that someone must win. Or something. While the third third of Aeon Flux’s charm is the blur between good&bad, personal goals etc. Win? Win what?

What the hell happened to the hot fleshy costume and grotesque character? In both the movie and comic (dark horse is usually an awesome label but seriously disappoints in this version) the costume is totally bastardized and looks like some kind of cat woman reject. If Charlize Theron can’t hack it with the ORIGINAL uniform, find some stripper who will do it and “act” the part (what a joke…). The whole point is to see a sultry lethal vixen kill people and accomplish missions in hot fetish wear- all of the Orwellian references are secondary (the first animated short was a parody on action/drama blockbusters lest we all forget…). Put a sexxxy skinny chick back in the thong and stick to the roots! I want sex, violence, sex, and gadgets!
