The Page 100 Project

page100_01.jpg

Here’s a fun activity if you’re looking for a little comicking inspiration. Jason Turner has started what he calls The Page 100 Project.

Take one of your favourite books, turn to page 100, and adapt it into a comic.

Here’s another from Emily Carroll, adapting page 100 from Barbara Gowdy’s The White Bone:

Nice one. I have stumbled and twittered this for my friends. Others no doubt will like it like I did.

Brilliant and heartbreaking. Thanks for posting.

This reminds me of a segment in the amazing “Nature” series, where an elephant gets separated from the water-seeking herd during a dust storm and cannot find them again. Finally setting off in the direction where he thinks they are, we watch in agony as he mistakenly heads back the way they came, toward certain doom.

That being said, this is lovely artwork. Thanks!

it almost seems to me like its a the elephants in front of him were never there and as he gets closer they begin to disapear…(p.s this is amazing!!!)

Thats simple and beautifull but very sad.
Nature can be very harsh and there's no other way to put it.
    Great illustration

The last one was very touching.

This looks like so much fun. I'd love to see a collection of them from one artist.
