		<description>I had planned on mentioning this film when doing my wrap-up on PLATFORM but Aardman didn&#039;t have anything on the film up just yet. It was definitely one of the best at PLATFORM. Luis Cook, who directed The Pearce Sisters, also did the design and overall look of the film. He also did the design of Aardman&#039;s award-winning website and the opening logo for each of their films. He&#039;s an insanely talented guy.

It&#039;s based on a short story by Mick Jackson and it&#039;s quite horrific -- in a good way, of course.</description>

I saw the first of those clips a while ago, and the accompanying article said that they&#039;d animated everything in 3d, printed all the frames, drawn over them by hand, and then scanned the results.  Nice to get such a clear refutation of the idea that computer animation is necessarily plastic-looking.</description>
