Tim Marrs

Tim MarrsI love messy art. The more dirt, grit and marks, the better. And so there’s no surprise that I really dig UK illustrator Tim Marrs. Love his collage work with that sketchy, off-kilter, work-in-progress style. It’s a nice blend of traditonal and digital methods he’s got going on here. Tim also takes great risks with color and I applaud him for that.

    How did you get started?

I have a very gifted mind and would like to get my stuff out in the open. I want to get in school or take online classes, it just seems like life is not sticking to it’s original plan. I want to pursue into illustration, and multimedia. What do you think the best steps to take to the top is?
    Love your work your’s truely

Really nice. So, I’m biased, but If you like ‘messy art’, you might also enjoy my sister’s illustration work: http://lauraquick.co.uk/ (erm, click the eagle’s eye to access the portfolio). She had a series of 4 pieces published in the Guardian in the UK recently (the Observer magazine I think).
