Calgary illustrator Tom Bagley has a cool retro rock-n-roll monster style. While not limited to the horror genre, it’s clearly what he loves, and is his best work.

Really nice work! His line quality is great, and I love some of the textures he creates for his character’s hair.

Mr. Bagley is next to godly in my eyes. A bunch of his posters can be found at gigposters.com: http://www.gigposters.com/designers.php?designer=2
Being that both GP and Bagley are from Calgary, he was one of the earliest posted artists on that site.

Tom came to my school for a 5 day session recently and I was just absolutly inspired to cartoon more since I do mostly sketches of real things. Tom was so much fun and is surprisingly peppy considering his genre of art.
TIP: For a barrel full of monkies-type fun, challenge him to a horse drawing competition. That was a blast.
With much respect and honour to call him a friend and teacher,
Bekki, grade 9.
