Type designers’ handwriting in comparison to their typefaces

I just love this collection of type designers’ handwriting compared to their typefaces. Shown here: Mark Simonson, who clearly demonstrates the source of his extremely popular font Felt Top Roman.

What a beautiful set of images! I cannot fathom the level of design these folks employ to create their fontsets. Penmanship is it’s own artform.

    Thanks for another great article.

it’s interesting to see Dino’s font ‘g’ and his
handwriting ‘g’; his handwriting (small) ‘g’ starts or flows like a ‘q’ almost!
PLUS – it would be great to really know
GRAPHOLOGY and see the ‘psych-nuances’ inside the typers heads!

    Thanx, this page was fun!
