Video: How Sheldon is created

Check out cartoonist Dave Kellet’s video walk-through for his webcomic, Sheldon.

Whoa. Watch out for Dave’s electric eraser-blowdryer at 11:00 in the video. What is that thing?

That electric eraser thing is just ridiculous! This would probably be the last thing I would think existed, if given many many other ridiculous options. Well, you learn something new every day, it seems.
This guy’s way too organized and way too prepared. I feel like the biggest slacker in the history of this planet…

One of my studiomates in architecture school had one of those things. Since I was a student, spending $75 on an eraser wasn’t really at the top of my shopping list. But I did borrow that sucker every time I had to erase my pencils for a final inked piece on vellum.

Glad you liked the video, Matt!

I’ll be lecturing down at SCAD’s sequential art program in October, and thought it’d be fun to have a video showing my process to the students. But the Sheldon readers seem to enjoy seein’ how the strips are made, as well.
