Video: The Vendor Client relationship – in real world situations

I know I’m preaching to the converted here, but this is a funny take on what freelance illustrators (and freelance everythings) go through on a daily basis.

Both painful and funny to watch at the same time. Very nicely done :)

If we all send this to every client…

If I send this to my “bubble” clients, they likely won't get it. I say this because they don't seem to “get” a lot of things. Hmmmm, perhaps, even… my artwork! Gotta go.

I've met them all at some stage…they are very real!

Oh. This. Is. Brilliant. Another wonderful reminder to never underestimate the power of contracts. :-) Thanks for this post.

This is still as funny and infuriating as the last time I saw it.

It's painful how funny this is. :o) Just starting out in the freelance world, so I'm hoping it's not ENTIRELY true-to-life.

  • Jacobscreative

    Oh, you bet it is.

  • Glogo

I'm sure some clients could do the same “exercice”, but from their point of view..

  • Larry Latham

Brilliant, but he forgot to show the 'clients' taking all the credit for the work afterwards:-D

But those are the reasons I'm getting out of freelance and doing my own work.

I'm posting that on my site.

This video made me reconsider my options. Should I continue to do freelance work?

I love this piece….so true and sad at the same time

This is why I gave up & got out.
