Watch Chris Samnee ink Swamp Thing

Watch Chris Samnee ink Swamp Thing using a Pentel brush pen.

Probably the most amazing part is his control with that brush pen. I always found the Pentel to be a worthless tool in favor of a sable brush and old fashioned ink. I could never get it to do what I wanted.
But this Chris has proven me wrong. Nice work!

Amazing how he draws texture as opposed to lines. Too bad he’s using the Pentel Color Brush pen with water-based ink: that drawing is going to fade.
I havenn’t tried this one but the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen is incredible and a bit easier to use than a sable brush.
The only problem is it goes into dry brush mode when you paint fast, which actually doesn’t seem to happen to Chris here.
