In a world where the word ‘caricature’ instantly drums up images of county fair visitors sitting down for a quick sketch of their head on a tiny body, Zach Trenholm is king. His ability to capture a likeness using a minimal amount of lines, and with a certain reverance for the subject, makes him the most worthy 21st Century successor to the craft’s undisputed master, Al Hirschfeld. (And if you prefer your caricaturists relegated to entertaining party-goers, he apparently does that, too).
