Adam Koford

Adam Koford, also known online as Ape Lad, is a story artist for Disney Interactive in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also has a bustling freelance career and a webcomic, The Laugh-Out-Loud Cats, which he creates six days a week. He first garnered attention with his contributions to the 700 Hoboes Project, a collective effort to illustrate the hobo names listed in John Hodgman’s book The Areas of My Expertise. To date, Adam is the first participant to illustrate all 700. And then some.

His freelance clients have included American Greetings, Recycled Paper Greetings, King Features Syndicate, and lots of fans who have purchased original illustrations and comics via his blog, HOBOTOPIA. He is married with children, and his influences include George Herriman, Jack Kirby, Walt Kelly, Matt Groening, and many others.

The Laugh-Out-Loud Cats Sell Out, a collection of his comics, was published by Abrams ComicArts in Spring 2009.
