At the outset, Al Jarnow's Autosong doesn't seem to have a lot of visual excitement to it—just some simple, repetitive drawings of a car traveling down a road. But the minimalism is what allows the animation to be so playful in its explorations of perspective, geometry, and patterns. It doesn't take long before you realize that Autosong isn't about cars at all. It's about math.
Stay tuned after the credits, as the embedded video contains two other Jarnow shorts: Skeletons and Rocks. Three for the price of one. That's a savings of 66% (more math for you, there).
